Primarily Cognitive and Behavioural Therapies, drawing also on systemic therapy. Additional experience in sex therapy approaches with individuals and couples.
Specific training within core professional qualification and further post-qualification training. During more than ten years of clinical practice I have worked continually with sexual minority clients across many service contexts including more than 7 years working within sexual health and HIV specialist services. Additional attendance training events run by Pink Therapy and Terrance Higgins Trust.
BABCP Accredited cognitive behavioural therapist, offering assessment and treatment for most psychological problems with adult and older adult clients. Areas of particular experience include; problems such as worry, fears and anxieties, self confidence issues, low mood and depression. Specific problems including sleep problems, anger, trauma, obsessions and compulsions, relationship difficulties, sexual health and sexual performance problems. I am a Consultant Clinical Psychologist in Addictions in the NHS with significant experience in working with clients with alcohol and drug problems. Previous experience in working with clients in retirement or later life. Some medico-legal work under taken, including employment related and civil cases.
I am a 'Kink Aware' therapist and happy to work with clients who either live a kink lifestyle or engage in bdsm/kink practices.
£90 per session (individual clients).
BUPA and PPP registered.
