Course Information

We are currently offering two courses

Each day module/workshop of the above courses is open to therapists who may wish to attend just that particular module, there is no obligation to enrol for a whole course unless you wish to.

The Essentials in Sexual Minority Therapy is ideal for all therapists of whatever level of experience and theoretical background who wish to update themselves on current thinking and practice at working with a wide diversity of sexual minority clients.

The Certificate in Sexual Minority Therapy (SMT) is aimed at therapists wishing to, or who already are, specialising in working with sexual minority clients, whether this be as sexual health advisors and clinical and counselling psychologists in the health services, or therapists in private practice or working within the voluntary sector in LGBT organisations. As far as we are aware, this is the first such course in the world!

Our training events and courses are structured and timed to try and allow travel from virtually any part of the UK and many parts of Europe for day travel. Starting at 1pm on a Saturday and finishing at 7pm, many people will be able to save the cost of overnight accommodation by travelling to London on the Saturday morning.

The Certificate in SMT will involve nine supervision groups and training events. The supervision groups will be on a Friday afternoon/evening and the following day will be the training event. People attending from outside London therefore will probably only need to be away one Friday night a month.
