Specific Training and Experience:
Before counselling I was a social worker and worked for many years with sexual minority clients. I worked as a trainer with social services staff to try to change attitudes, particularly in relation to HIV/AIDS. Working with sexual minority clients was an elective part of my counsellor training. I have worked for well over 500 hours as a counsellor with sexual minority clients during the past ten years and more before. Most of my recent counselling work has been with the NHS in Primary Care. |
