| Specific Training and Experience: Training: My Diploma in Counselling included considerable time spent on LGBT awareness issues. Since qualifying, I attended in 2006 a one day course which covered LGBT issues/awareness. Experience: I have counselled both male and female gay clients (approx 5% of my clients are or have been gay). I also have some experience with transgendered clients who are awaiting gender reassignment surgery. |

| Specialisms and Interests: Workplace issues, homosexuality and transgenderism in the workplace, exploring sexuality, teenage pregnancy, abortion issues. I am particularly interested in the concept of relational depth as put forward by Mearns and Cooper in their book, Working at Relational Depth in Counselling and Psychotherapy (2005). I am currently researching this concept as part of a PhD at the University of Strathclyde. |
