Also new helpline: The Helpline is part of the Family Service at Pace and offers email and phone support to anyone living in the UK who is dealing with issues related to being lesbian,gay, bisexual or transexual and being in families and/or relationships. These might include: coming out, relationship issues or difficulties, gay parenting, family dynamics of all kinds and support for heterosexual parents of lesbian, gay or bisexual children. We support both LGBT and heterosexual partners/family members.
We are able to offer the following kinds of support:
-Ad hoc telephone support
-Structured Telephone Counselling, of up to 6 weekly 30 minute sessions
-Ad hoc email support
-A more in depth email dialogue
There is no charge. Voluntary donations. We are not able to offer an emergency service.

Yorkshire MESMAC
Counselling Service (www.mesmac.co.uk)
Yorkshire MESMAC offers free short-term counselling for any gay or bisexual
man or any man who has sex with men. Counselling is also available to wives
and female partners of men who are attracted to men. All MESMAC counsellors
are trained to at least Diploma standard and have attended a minimum of two
days gay awareness training with Yorkshire MESMAC. Counsellors are available
throughout Leeds, Bradford, Wakefield and North Yorkshire. For more details

The Metro Centre in Greenwich offers both long
and short term, low cost counselling to Lesbians, Gay Men, Bisexuals and those
uncertain of their sexuality. For more details visit their website.
The site provides listings for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender communities
in the UK and Ireland - information covers the gay scene and a wide range of
non-profit services and non-scene community groups, as well as commercial business
services. It's the result of a project funded by the Lottery that was devised
and planned by volunteers at London Lesbian and Gay Switchboard (LLGS) as part
of efforts to improve the service provided. In addition, the project has been
carried out in partnership with a group of LGB Helplines from around the UK
with the goal of creating a shared national resource of information.

Enfield LGBT Network, providing counselling and social support to LGBT people in the Enfield area of London.
Edward Carpenter Community - is a group of gay men committed to principles of caring, trusting, personal growth, sharing, and creativity aimed at nurturing 'community' as an alternative to the commercial scene. They organise Gay Men’s Weeks and shorter events each year at venues across the country. They go to Laurieston Hall in South West Scotland several times a year as well as Youth Hostels in the Lake District and centres elsewhere. Each venue is chosen for its location and atmosphere and while they are there becomes a ‘safe space’ within which participants can grow together as a community. Depending on the venue and the nature of the event there will be between around 25 to 60 participants. Food is vegetarian, plentiful and of high quality and sleeping accommodation is in shared rooms.

Press for Change is a political lobbying and educational organisation, which campaigns to achieve equal civil rights and liberties for all trans people in the United Kingdom, through legislation and social change. Their website contains a vast reservoir of useful information and resources.
Older Tees came about from the inclusion of transsexuals in the common acronym GLTB - we are the T's. Older Tees is a support network for trans women worldwide, who identify as being older. There are no lower age limits or upper. Older Tees isn't an association or formal group, it's a network of people facing similar life issues. The only person involved in it's operations is a facilitator. Archives Network The LGBT Religious Archives Network (LGBTRAN) is an innovative
venture in developing archives and encouraging historical study of lesbian,
gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) religious movements. The LGBTRAN can best
be viewed as a "virtual" archive. They serve as a resource for LGBT
religious leaders and groups in determining how to preserve their historical
records. They also provide an information clearinghouse for these archival collections
in a central electronic directory for the use of historians, researchers and
other interested persons. Adopts a multi-faith response and a searchable database.
Help to Heal - is a free directory of accredited counsellors. They offer a database of professional therapists from all over the UK that are qualified to offer support and guidance in a variety of different areas.
