Experience

I have worked in private practice, predominantly with gay/bi men, since 1994.
I was the Workgroup and Training Manager at PACE, the UK's largest LGBT community mental health organisation, from 1995 to 2008. I co-devised the PACE groupwork programme for gay and bisexual men, on self-esteem, assertion, relationship and communication skills, sex sexuality and HIV issues, and have delivered more than 4000 hours of therapeutic groupwork to several thousand gay/bi men.
I am the author or co-author of three interactive workbooks for gay/bi men: Getting ready (on self-esteem and preparing for relationships); Getting What You Want (in friendships and relationships); and Getting Sexy. These workbooks are available from PACE (020 7700 1323) or as PDFs on this website: www.pacehealth.org.uk
I am also the co-author of Talking Spaces (1996) and Talking Spaces II (2006), which detail the approach, lessons learned and evaluations of the PACE groupwork programme for gay/bi men.
I participated in Trans Awareness Training in 2007
