About me

Sex therapy with heart. Based in West London. Integrative approach to allow tailored work.
Working with you to help you have the sex and relationships you want to be having.

I have always had an interest in human interaction and relationships. Therefore  I've undertaken niche training and worked in psychosexual and relational issues, such as attachment, inner child, couples therapy, trauma and sexual assault and boarding school survivors. Not matter what 'method' we work around - our work is undertaken in a space created to allow you to talk about things that may otherwise be difficult. I work in an embodied way with you to allow you to be more in touch with your body and what it is trying to say to you.  My style is warm and honest.

If you'd like to know a little more through an non committal chat for 10 minutes please get in touch via text, email or call. Let's start the conversation.

Experience and approach

Specific experience and training:

I'm open minded and kind. When you feel ready to make changes I will gently challenge you to do so. There is never any nakedness in the room, and I'm not like the mother in 'Meet the Fockers' film! I may give you exercises to try at home, but generally sessions are interactive. If you would prefer a counsellor who will consistently sit quietly for hours while you recline on a chaise longue and stare at the ceiling, then we might not be the best match!

My goal is to help you understand what’s going on and facilitate you making the changes you want to make. To achieve that I work integratively using different counselling techniques and theories. Some sessions will be faster paced and coaching focused, others more thought provoking. This will depend on who you are, what you respond well to and how far along we are in the therapeutic process.

If you want someone honest, transparent and open-minded yet professional and a specialist in the field, then I might be the counsellor for you.

If you would prefer a counsellor who will consistently sit quietly for hours while you recline on a chaise longue and stare at the ceiling, then we might not be the best match! I don't wish to keep you in counselling longer than you need, and if I'm not the right person to be working with you, I'll try to recommend someone who may be more appropriate. A ten minute chat on the phone should help us kick start the process. Let's start the conversation.

Therapies Practiced:
Counselling, Counselling Psychology, Psychosexual therapy, Psychotherapy.
Specialisms and interests:

I enjoy helping individuals learn about their sexuality and sensuality and developing a strong sense of self in this area of their life. "Helping me build foundations for long term intimacy " was how an ex client described it. I worked with him for 14 sessions.

My strengths as a practitioner are working with what the medical field may term a sexual dysfunction - when things might not be working as you'd like them to physically - this can be around erections, ejaculation, vaginismus, analismus, orgasm, desire, painful sexual contact. I find sexual difficulty is a more accurate term, but only if it is causing you difficulty.

This can also mean working with couples who have lost their 'mojo' in their relationship and are looking for some help to get them back on track.

I'm hoping that by being listed on Pink therapy, it's clear that my clients are often in, or would like to be in, same or mixed sex relationships (whatever your gender identity or expression), but you might not be in relationships at all. I also work with clients who are ethically non-monogomous or who are sex workers.
